Shoot the Bride

Well I have to say I am super excited to be able to post this video! A few months ago Jeff Cooke, Liam Hennessey and I got to get together in an awesome studio to play. Not only did we play… we played with a purpose- Arcadia Entertainment had contacted us about putting together a pitch for a TV show, so this was our assignment. We all got to bring a bride (and Liam brought a groom) Felicity Bridal hooked us up with dresses, and we loaded up a studio with a tonne of gear and even more ideas. We each took a corner of the room and set up to make our visions come to light. It was amazing to me how we were given essentially the same location, and how nothing that we did was remotely similar. I love it! I love how photography can be whatever you want it to be, that you can create something based on your vision, your heart and it can be your own! I think that what everyone came up with was great, but I would never have thought to do what they did! I also loved that we could help each other, make suggestions and see each other work. I also love how working together on stuff like this always makes you a better photographer…plus its just plain fun! We were just given the OK to share the video that Arcadia put together so here it is!!! Special thanks to well…everyone! Felicity Bridal for the dresses and making a special stop to bring hairpieces for us to play with and make sure the dresses looked great. Thanks to my beautiful model Naphtali, who also did her own makeup (she is a makeup artist as well!) my helper Natasha and all those who helped me pick up feathers (Mike your little vacuum was a lifesaver) when the shoot was done. Also thanks to the Arcadia Entertainment Team and my fellow photographers Jeff & Liam (Liam I giggle every time I watch and see the feathers in your hair! Thanks for “taking one for the team” and helping those feathers fly!) what a blast! Can’t wait till next time!

On a final note, 1/2 a feather pillow can fill 500 square feet pretty quickly…and I LOVE myself in video…yeah….no…
