One Tuesday evening last summer I got a call from a couple who were looking to Elope…

The next day!

It was our fastest turnaround yet but we are certainly willing to try to surpass the 16 hours of planning, though cover makes that a little bit more challenging these days.

They had a planned a big wedding and things hadn’t gone to plan (which I know has happened to a lot of people this year, which breaks my heart!) But then they realized, the big wedding wasn’t what was important to them. They wanted to make their marriage official and didn’t want to wait.

It was planned quickly and yet full of love and connection. It just goes to show that these special moments don’t always have to be curated for months or even weeks! Yes, if you want some specific details or dates, then it can serve you well to plan well in advance.

This elopement was personal and perfect. Sister and brother in law and new babe in tow, a first look in the Superstore parking lot, and a hike through tall grass to get to our own little paradise!

Ocean’s giggles were my favourite from our time together, she was so happy to be marrying her man!
